Abstract:
What if roses were our guides, we would follow our noses with our eyes closed.
How does the art of perfume lead us to connect everything that exists? Because it leads us to the invisible, to the energy that circulates between matter and non-matter. Artists and scientists explore this unknown in front of which we, humans, are very small. Perhaps a rose was needed to remind us that being curious and creating was the best thing we could do to evolve, all together, towards a more poetic, joyful and just world. For at the crossroads of the senses, lies the human, in the here and now.

From there to ask questions about the beyond, there is only one step, to which Rosa Rose invites us, in all her wisdom of flower adventurer. There is no age to set out on the path, so this book is for anyone who wants to open the doors of the visible, to explore, quite simply. This is a book of reflections seeking to understand what connects the whole, to exercise one's critical mind, to live in energy, to get out of consensual thinking, to build an Art of Renewal that would contaminate us all. Why build a philosophy of life, you may ask? Because otherwise, what we are living might seem too cruel. So this is not a novel with a lot of roses, although... With a little pepper and other unlikely spices, it could spice up the daily life.

A word from the author:
The starting point for the writing of this book was the sharing of commonalities between the art of perfumes and painting with the UNESCO ambassadors during their annual visits to the congresses organized for the candidacy for the protection of the know-how of perfumery in the Pays de Grasse, from 2013 to 2018, when this dossier was unanimously celebrated. In this case, the know-how is divided into 3 parts: the cultivation of perfume plants, the extraction of fragrant materials and the art of perfumes: this is how it was filed and accepted.
The continuation of the writing pursued the goal to make the reader enter in the skin of a creator, to "make feel" this energy which animates the one who creates, with the aim of giving desire to each one to take which the pen, which the brush or the pipette in order to make emerge various and varied creations coming from the invisible world. This energy of life which animates us, makes us alive and which is translated in creation is the main subject of this book, of which each chapter brushes, with the air of nothing, an existential question, that it is of order of the scientific, the psychological or the creative. It also aims to pay tribute to the sensitive, the subtle, in a world too much governed by the rational half of the brain, which, without link to the heart and the guts, runs idle in a world without sense.
